On September 16, 1893, an estimated hundred thousand land-seekers from all corners of the United States raced to claim land in the Unassigned Lands of northern Oklahoma, marking the historic event known as the Land Run of 1893. Among the pioneers who sought to secure land during this remarkable period of history were Henry Engelking and his cousin Herman, both determined to secure a legacy for their family.
Learn MoreFrom the beginning, Land Run Distillery has embraced a purpose that goes beyond the production of premium bourbons and whiskeys. While these endeavors remain central to our mission, Land Run Distillery was conceived to commemorate our past, pay tribute to our ancestors, improve our community and secure our legacy in the Oklahoma ranching community.
Upon completion, Land Run Distillery will sit on the Bar E Ranch in Newkirk, Oklahoma, overlooking the land first settled by Jeff Casey’s great-grandfather, Henry Engelking. We are committed to producing premium bourbons and whiskeys using only the raw materials and natural resources available to us on the land settled during the Land Run of 1893.
Founded in 2021 by husband and wife Jeff Casey and Shannon Guthrie, Land Run will enter the market in 2024 as a medium-sized premium whiskey distillery. The initial offerings will include a Double Barrel Straight Bourbon, Double Barrel Straight Rye, Pecan Finished Straight Bourbon, Pecan Finished Straight Rye and Pecan Whiskey.
